About Dr. Ayala-Feliciano

Dr. Michelle Ayala-Feliciano

Dr. Michelle Ayala-Feliciano is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist born and raised in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Her interest in behavioral health and the brain began at age 13 and grew into a lifelong commitment to neuropsychology. She is the founder of Neuro-Rehab Psychology Group of Tampa, where she provides neuropsychological assessment and individualized cognitive rehabilitation services.

Dr. Ayala-Feliciano earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Ponce Health Sciences University, an APA-approved program. She completed advanced postdoctoral training in rehabilitation psychology and clinical neuropsychology at Tampa General Hospital and Orlando Health, with experience across acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient medical settings. Her clinical work has included individuals with a wide range of neurological, medical, and neurocognitive presentations.

Her approach is collaborative, structured, and practical. Dr. Ayala-Feliciano focuses on helping individuals understand their cognitive strengths and challenges, develop effective compensatory strategies, and apply those strategies in everyday situations. Care is designed to be functional and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on improving daily performance, independence, and quality of life.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ayala-Feliciano has experience in teaching, research, and community education, including presentations on brain health, cognitive recovery, and caregiver support. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is committed to providing culturally responsive care in a respectful and welcoming environment. She is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), and the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society.
