About Our Process

Initial Contact and Scheduling

When you contact Neuro-Rehab Psychology Group of Tampa, we will gather brief information about your concerns and the type of service you are seeking. This helps determine the most appropriate evaluation or service and allows us to review insurance, fees, and scheduling options in advance.

Intake and Background Information
Before your appointment, you may be asked to complete intake forms and questionnaires. These provide important background information and help focus the evaluation on the questions that matter most. For children or adolescents, parents or caregivers typically complete developmental and educational history forms.

The Evaluation Process
Neuropsychological evaluations may include an interview, standardized testing, and review of relevant records. Testing is tailored to the referral question and individual needs. Sessions may occur over one or more days, depending on the type and complexity of the evaluation. Breaks are provided as needed, and testing is paced to support focus and comfort.

For children and adolescents, families are encouraged to ensure the child is well rested and has eaten prior to testing. For longer sessions, bringing snacks or lunch is recommended.

Feedback and Results
After the evaluation is completed, a feedback session is scheduled to review results and answer questions. Findings are explained in clear, accessible language, with an emphasis on understanding strengths, challenges, and practical next steps.

Reports and Recommendations
A comprehensive written report is provided following the evaluation. Reports include results, conclusions, and practical recommendations tailored to everyday life, school, work, or other relevant settings. When authorized, reports may be shared with physicians, schools, attorneys, or other professionals as appropriate.

Follow-Up and Consultation
When needed, follow-up services may include consultation, coordination with other providers, or additional guidance related to recommendations. Our goal is to ensure results are understood and can be meaningfully applied.
